4th of July Fireworks in Seattle

This year we mixed it up for the fourth of July weekend. Every other year, we go to Miami, but this year, we decided to visit the Pacific Northwest, to Portland, Seattle and Vancouver. So tonight, we had the opportunity to celebrate Independence Day at Seattle’s Gas Works Park, with a beautiful view of Lake Union and the Seattle Skyline with its iconic Space Needle.

We walked a mile to get to the Gas Works Park and got there just 5 minutes before the show, so I had to setup gear rather quickly. We weren’t expecting it to be so crowded, but that place was packed! I had been to there the day before during daylight, and it felt like an awesome picnic spot under the sun while enjoying the Seattle skyline and the sail boats in Lake Union. A must see if you ever visit Seattle.

Below are some of my favorite firework pics. It was honestly my first time shooting long exposure shots with my Canon 7DM2, but I think my pics came out alright!

So to you, happy 4th of July, from Seattle Washington!
